To this end, it was necessary to measure and assess the exposure levels of the employees in their work environments.<\/p>\n<p>The monitoring focused on the following environmental components:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Noise;<\/li>\n<li>Vibrations;<\/li>\n<li>Electromagnetic fields;<\/li>\n<li>Radon gas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VDP carried out the monitoring through surveys in the several environments concerned by the different working activities, both usual and exceptional.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The surveys were performed through measurements in offices, in tunnels, at traffic agents&rsquo; locations, near motorway toll gates and inside the construction structure of viaducts because of the presence of technical systems.<br \/>The aim of these investigations was to assess the workers&#8217; exposure levels to the monitored components and in case of potential health issues, to define the appropriate mitigation measures, both direct (emission source) and indirect (worker).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROJECT DESCRIPTION With the purpose of obtaining a continuous improvement in the working conditions and in the health and safety situation of its workers, SITAF regularly updates the Single Document on Interference Risk Assessment.
