As part of the SUMP Program – Sustainable Mobility Urban Plan for the design of the new tramway line along Via Tiburtina and Viale Palmiro Togliatti, VDP was commissioned by Roma Servizi Mobilità to assess the state of the trees along the road axes.<\/p>\n
These assessments were carried out through surveys in the field in June 2018, during which the phytosanitary and stability conditions of each tree specimen present in the intervention area were examined.<\/p>\n
Along the stretch of Via Tiburtina examined, between P.le del Verano and Tiburtina railway station, there are rows of Pinus pinea, most of which characterized by certain signs of ilness more or less serious.<\/p>\n
Based on the verification according to the Excavation Regulations of the Municipality of Rome, the construction of the new tramway will interfere with the trees present, which will be removed and replaced with specimens of Celtis australis and Cupressus sp, in bigger quantites than the ones removed.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
