PROJECT DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new TVA tramway line has been designed to connect the Termini, Vatican and Aurelio districts through two tramway routes with a total length of about 8 km. The Termini Station Hub (interested in the riqualioficazionr of Termini-Centocelle-Giardinetti rail) will have another connection trought the nor-ovest area,<\/p>\n

The node of the Termini station, already affected by the redevelopment of the Termini-Centocelle-Giardinetti railway, will have an additional connection to the northwest quadrant that, towards the terminal of Piazza Giureconsulti, will cross via Nazionale, via IV Novembre, piazza Venezia, Corso Vittorio, via Gregorio VII.
The Termini-Vaticano-Aurelio line will be divided into two sections: from Termini to Piazza Giureconsulti (7,363 metres with 20 stops) and from Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II to Piazza Risorgimento (956 metres with 2 stops). The route from Termini to the confluence of Corso Vittorio and Lungotevere will be common to both
VDP has taken care of the acoustic impact that this line will bring on the territory. The main objective of the analyses carried out was to analyse the acoustic climate of the urban areas crossed by the tramway project in question, in order to highlight the noise levels produced on the receivers in the vicinity of the track and assess the extent of any changes made to the noise levels currently present.
The acoustic study was developed following the steps below:<\/p>\n

• analysis of current legislation and municipal noise zoning;
• survey of the receivers present along the routes;
• orography of the territory and survey of the receivers;
• analysis and acoustic characterization of sources;
• calibration of the simulation model;
• acoustic simulations;
• analysis of the results obtained.<\/p>\n

The study carried out showed how the project in question, and the relative efficiency of local public roads, will bring an overall improvement in the noise climate of the areas crossed by the new tramway line and also a reduction in noise levels emitted by the “road” infrastructure as a whole, considering both private and public traffic<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
