Specifically, the project concerned the following functional excerpts, each of which followed the aforementioned environmental procedure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Port of Naples \u2013 Extension of the Duca D&#8217;Aosta Dam to protect the new Eastern Container Terminal \u2013 I Excerpt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Subject to VIA (start: January 2020 \u2013 end: January 2021)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance. (Start: July 2024 \u2013 End: October 2024)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Port of Naples \u2013 Extension and strengthening of the Duca d&#8217;Aosta dam \u2013 Lot A: Extension of the Duca d&#8217;Aosta dam to protect the new Eastern Containers Terminal \u2013 II Excerpt.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Subject to VIA (start: August 2022 \u2013 end: November 2022)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance (start: March 2025 \u2013 end: CTVIA technical investigation underway)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Port of Naples \u2013 Extension and strengthening of the Duca d&#8217;Aosta dam \u2013 Lot B: Strengthening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Subject to VIA (start: September 2023 \u2013 end: December 2023)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance (Start: May 2024 \u2013 End: September 2024)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance (Start: January 2025 \u2013 End: May 2025)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019 a large project called \u201cExtension and strengthening of the Duca D&#8217;Aosta Forane Dam\u201d, divided by the AdSP into two distinct functionally independent lots, concerns interventions on existing infrastructure located in different areas and subservient to different objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lot A \u2013 Extension to the east<\/strong> with cellular caissons of the breakwater, with the aim of improving the protection of the eastern mouth of the port of Naples and the docks of the new eastern dock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lot B \u2013 Strengthening of the existing dam<\/strong> with pouring works and local restoration\/repair interventions of existing structures, aimed at mitigating the risk of instability of the existing infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Project for the Extension of the Duca D&#8217;Aosta Dam I\u00b0 and II\u00b0 excerpt, for a total length of approximately 205 m, to be conducted in the port of Naples is aimed at definitively guaranteeing the protection of the eastern access channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intervention to strengthen the sections characterized by greater vulnerability of the Duca d&#8217;Aosta breakwater was developed through the construction of a trapezoidal-section cast structure, consisting of a core made of natural boulders that integrates the existing basing massif, protected by a filter layer of natural boulders and a mantle made of tetrapod arranged in a double layer and resting at the foot on a foundation berm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STUDY SPECIFICITY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the project, the following specialized studies were developed: weather-marine and wave motion agitation studies, morphological and morphodynamical studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The documentation relating to the Preliminary Environmental Study has been accompanied by graphic works and specialized attachments, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Archaeological study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental monitoring plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Subject management report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Landscape relationship pursuant to the Prime Ministerial Decree 12\/12\/2005<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT The project followed several phases in which VDP developed the drafting of environmental documentation to support the EIA Subject ability Verification procedure.
