The section will be an important road and runs close to the municipality of Cortina d&#8217;Ampezzo, which is also crossed by SS51 and SS48. It will also allow the reduction of &nbsp;traffic congestion due to the crossing flows, resulting in significant improvement of air quality and noise pollution; effects extremely relevant for the tourism industry and service sector, the principal economic resources of the area.<\/p>\n<p>PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS<\/p>\n<p>The study involved the elaboration of photo simulations including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Updated layout of tunnel entrances comprising of morphological modeling;<\/li>\n<li>Longitudinal profiles of viaducts;<\/li>\n<li>Typology of viaducts with particular reference to deck, piers and abutments;<\/li>\n<li>Location and typology of mitigation interventions;<\/li>\n<li>Cortina d&rsquo;Ampezzo roundabout;<\/li>\n<li>Example regarding the mechanically stabilized earth of the roundabout wall;<\/li>\n<li>SS58 tunnel link;<\/li>\n<li>Typology of wooden guard rails.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROJECT DESCRIPTION The work was aimed at developing photo simulations related to the construction of an alternative section of Alemagna Main Road (SS51) and its connection to &ldquo;Dolomites&rdquo; Main Road (SS48).
