The project involves the construction of an underground parking; an interchange station with bus lines; an underground square with multi-purpose areas and a connection to the Conca d&#8217;Oro Station, all in the peripheral zone &#8220;Pratone delle Valli&#8221;. The planned infrastructure provides an important connection of the two banks of the Aniene River through a pedestrian and bike bridge, allowing the creation of a system involving the two bike lanes already located on the opposite sides of the river.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The study permitted the determination of a relation between the design solutions and the environmental requirements, leading to the definition of the environmental impacts related to the project and to a proper work inclusion in the surrounding landscape. The parking and depot areas, the station finishes and furnishing and the vegetation landscaping solutions were defined according to environmental sustainability criteria.<\/p>\n<p>On one side the landscape study focused on the morpho-functional analysis of the connective urban fabric; on the other hand the reconstruction of the visibility relation between the work and the surrounding landscape, the perceptual conditions and the analysis of the visual sequences were examined.<\/p>\n<p>In particular the study focused on the following subjects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>analysis of the peculiar features of the landscape;<\/li>\n<li>historical reconstruction of the settlement and infrastructure systems;<\/li>\n<li>analysis of the actual settlement and infrastructure systems;<\/li>\n<li>design of the vegetation landscaping solutions;<\/li>\n<li>landscape inclusion design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PROJECT DESCRIPTION The preliminary project design of the Integrated Interchange Junction &ldquo;Pratone delle Valli&rdquo; is part of the B1 line extension of the Rome Underground system.
