PROJECT DESCRIPTION <\/strong><\/p>\n

The area interested by the completion of the metro line is part of the urban fabric of Palermo, starting from the first area of expansion outside the walls, corresponding to the building along via Libertà.
The new stretch of line completes the metropolitan ring of Palermo and allows, thanks to a pedestrian path in the new station Lolli, the interconnection with the new Palermo-Trapani line.<\/p>\n

The project of civil works involves the construction of a new stretch of line with three stops \/ stations and the construction, on the existing line, of a new station, called “Libertà” inside the Ranchibile tunnel, to be built by demolishing the actual single track gallery and realizing an underground station with two tracks with surface access and bays.<\/p>\n

The main type of construction of the new track project is the artificial tunnel built with diaphragm technique by hydromill.<\/p>\n

PROJECT CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most analyzed environmental aspects concerns the hydro-geo-morphological component. The analysis of the features of the intervention area made it possible to identify and evaluate the possible morphological alterations related to the excavation activities, the static conditions of the underground caverns, as well as interference with the phreatic aquifer due to excavation activities for tunnel, trenches and building foundations.<\/p>\n

It has also been drafted an acoustic and vibrational study, both for the construction and exercise phase, which has led to the definition of different types of mitigation actions, related to the receptors identified during characterization stage.<\/p>\n

The definition of Archaeological Risk, absolute and related to the path, has been developed on a wide range area sourrounding the railway line: the territory is affected by a number of areas of high and medium-high Archaeological Risk, because of the uninterrupted settlement in the area from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
