Ati’s Impresa D’Agostino Costruzioni Generali has won the tender issued by the Municipality of Palermo for the executive design and construction of the new tram routes E1, E2 Sud, and F of the Palermo Tram System – Phase II.
The VDP was indicated as an environmental monitor for the ante – course and post – operam phase.
VDP will follow the progress of the construction site step by step, constantly monitoring air quality, noise levels and vibrations, with particular attention to the most sensitive areas along the route.
The project plays a strategic role in strengthening local public transport with high standards in terms of reliability, interoperability and sustainability and will be carried out through:
- Low-impact infrastructure systems on the urban areas crossed;
- Solutions oriented towards universal accessibility;
- Energy efficient plant components;
- Adoption of smart technologies for operation management.
