The “Parco del Mare” project in Ostia was presented on February 9th at a scientific meeting at the Marine Engineering branch of Roma 3 University in Ostia, attended, among others, by Maurizio Veloccia Councilor for Urban Planning of Rome Capital and Roberta Angelilli Vice President of the Lazio Region.
The initiative, which is taking shape with the aim of restoring livable spaces of high environmental quality to the citizens, is the result of a complex synergistic work carried out by a Temporary Grouping of Designers composed of Abacus, Made Associates, Massarente Architettura, VDP, Corip and Eng. Costantini has successfully translated redevelopment needs into a concrete action plan that transcends the concept of simple road infrastructure to embrace a holistic vision of a coastal ecosystem.
Within this grouping, VDP played a central role in taking care of vegetation and geological aspects. The intervention was calibrated to maximize environmental resilience and combat climate change.
