On 3 March there was the launch meeting of the project “Parco del Mare di Ostia” at the Department of Urbanism of the City of Rome.

VDP in ATI with ABACUS (headgroup), MADE ASSOCIATI, Massarente Architettura s.r.l., CO.RI.P. and Eng. Carlo Costantini won the competition called by Resources for Rome for the redevelopment of the seafront of Ostia.

The project “Parco del Mare” provides for the redevelopment of the seafront, that will become a safer and more usable place for citizens, the creation of a new Parco delle Dune, which will return a green area of great ecological and landscape value, and the construction of a new carriageway bridge, which will improve roadworthiness and connections with other areas of the city. The primary objective of this project is to give back to the Roman citizens one of the most evocative corners of the capital, offering them an accessible and livable space. At the same time, it is intended to promote the economic development of the area, creating opportunities for tourism, commerce and local activities, always in full respect for the environment and sustainability.
