Environmental monitoring of the 1° batch of the Maglie – S itinerary. Maria di Leuca along the SS 275 (1° excerpt)

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Environmental monitoring of the SS 275 road of the 1° lot (1° section) Maglie – S. Maria di Leuca is defined as from km 0 to km 10.5 (from Malpignano to Scorrano).

The 1° section crosses the territories of the province of Lecce and affects 4 municipalities (Melpignano, Maglie, Muro Leccese and Scorrano).

Maglie – Leuca’s intervention made it necessary for Anas to revise the project to meet changing design needs in terms of technical and economic sustainability and in relation to changes in the context, including the relevant regulatory framework. E’ it was decided to proceed with the construction of the works for functional lots, with the consequent need for a new evaluation and authorization by the competent authorities.

Once the design review of the 1° lot was completed, the Decision-Making Services Conference on the final project was called in May 2022. Once the authorization process was completed and the executive design was completed, Anas published the tender for the works, which was awarded to the Consorzio Valori.

This consortium has designated ATI VDP Srl and ALS ITALIA as environmental monitors.

The VDP has been performing monitoring in ante, course and post-opera since July 2024.

STUDY SPECIFICITY

The Environmental Monitoring implementation activities, as an indicated monitor of INC SPA, aim to quantify the impact that the construction of the planned interventions generates on the environment, through a set of periodic surveys, carried out on biological, chemical and physical parameters.

Specifically, the Environmental Monitoring Plan of the case provides for the study of the following environmental components:

  • Atmosphere;
  • Surface Waters;
  • Underground Waters;
  • Vegetation;
  • Fauna;
  • Landscape;
  • Soil;
  • Noise;
  • Vibrations.

It’s also planned the design, implementation, updating and management of the SIT platform for all phases (ante-operam, course operam and post – operam).
