PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The planned interventions involve a total of approximately 3,000 meters of barrier to be installed in the municipality of Milan along the existing Milan – Mortara railway line, in particular on the Porta Romana – San Cristoforo section.
The railway line in the section affected by the interventions is mainly developed on overpass and flat sections in urban areas.
The work falls within the more general scope of the noise containment and abatement intervention plan drawn up by RFI pursuant to Ministerial Decree Environment 29/11/00 (“Criteria for the preparation, by companies and bodies managing public transport services or related infrastructures, of noise containment and abatement intervention plans”).
As part of this intervention, VDP provided the client with its consultancy for the drafting of the Environmental Project for the Construction Site.
SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY
The document aims to describe the operational methods to be adopted for the correct use of the land and waste materials produced by the processes envisaged in the implementation of the planned interventions, which are managed as waste according to Part IV of Legislative Decree 152/06 and s.m.i.
Furthermore, it aims to identify and evaluate the potential implications of construction on the various environmental components and to identify the measures and structures capable of containing their negative effects.
