PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The intervention was born from the need to adapt and secure the SS131, classified as type C but with a traffic island. The infrastructure, both in functional terms and by virtue of the characteristic elements of the type section (road with carriageways separated by a central reservation), fulfils the tasks of a type B. It is planned to build a new carriageway towards Sassari, creating a new tunnel “Chighizzu”, and a new carriageway towards Cagliari, adapting the existing right-hand carriageway. The aim of the intervention is to increase the road safety of the infrastructure, in particular by: improving the geometric characteristics of the route, with adjustment of the curves and harmonization of all the plano-altimetric elements according to the provisions of Ministerial Decree 05/11/2001 for a VP=120 km/h. There are viaducts with decks with a mixed steel-concrete structure, with a cross-section “open”.
SPECIFICITY OF THE STUDY
The landscape study highlighted the relationships between project and territorial identity context, in a broad sense, and specifically between project and areas subject to the institution of landscape and environmental constraints, with the aim of identifying the main impacts on the landscape, both in morphological-structural and perceptual terms.
The photo simulation shows the filming point of the SS127, corresponding to the crossing of the valley incised by the Rio Mascari, protected pursuant to art. 142 letter c) watercourses of Legislative Decree 42/04, by the new viaduct VI_03.
